Clothes dryer does not dry anymore: causes and solutions:

July 19, 2019 by mark wahlbarg

Sometimes it should be quick. You have no clean sheets in the closet, but get a visit and want the guest bed the same evening. Thus, you cannot wait days until it is completely dry on a leash. Luckily, some clothes dryers can dry your clothes within an hour or less, provided they work properly.

If your laundry does not come out of the dryer according to the adjusted program but is still too damp or the device does not start at all, you do not have to bring the technician into the house. Here commercial laundry tells you what causes a faulty tumble dryer can have and what solutions there are for this problem that you can tackle yourself.

Tumble dryer does not dry - did you choose the wrong setting?

First of all, check whether the lack of drying effect is due to the setting. A dryer usually has different drying levels, including "ironing", "cupboard dry" and "extra dry".

To save energy, as suggested by commercial laundry, it may make sense to choose a shorter drying time, but then the laundry may be still clammy after the end of the process. The term "cupboard dry" is sometimes a bit confusing, because the clothing is often still a little damp at this stage, so you can put it safely without hesitation in the closet, but just do not want to wear. First, check whether the desired results can already be achieved with a higher drying level.

Tumble dryer does not dry?

If your tumble dryer does not dry your clothes at all or not to the degree you want, even though the settings are correct, this does not necessarily mean that something is broken on the unit. Over time, laundry fumes accumulate in the dryer, which can clog the sieve or get caught in front of sensors and thus restrict the function of the tumble dryer. This is how you proceed to check if fluff is the reason for the lack of drying effect of the device and to remove it.

For cleaning, you can use a soft brush or just your hands, which you should moisten slightly before - then the lice catch better on your fingers.

Then inspect the sieve for holes or breaks in the frame. If you find damage, replace the lint filter with a new one from specialist dealers.

Finally, pay attention to the door frame and the door seal. Here also like to catch fish fluff.
