There are various entrance exams that are conducted by different universities / institutions of India to get admission in Master of Science in Physics. The one who is interested to make their professional career in Physical Science researcher or lecturer with reputed colleges as well as research centers of India and worldwide as well may appear in CSIR NET for this particular subject (Physics).
Moving forward, this entrance exam is conducted by Council for Science and Scientific Research and this is a national level exam that is conduct to check the eligibility of the candidates that are interested to apply for junior Research Fellowship and lectureship as well. In addition to it , the one who successfully clear this entrance exam are qualified themselves at the post of Assistant professor at one of Universities IITs Post Graduate Colleges, Government research centers as well as in CSIR Research Laboratories also.
In addition to it, one must be aware about the age limitation for their desired job prospectus. The one who want to pursue their career as a Junior Research Fellowship must be maximum of 28 years of age and there is 5 year of age limit relaxations for candidates who comes under reservation policy of India or who is suffering from some physical challenge as well. As per the age criteria for Lectureship there is no age limit.
Moving forward, it is not easy to crack this exam (CSIR NET) and one who is willing to crack the same with good marks have to take proper coaching or they must have deep knowledge related to CSIR NET Physics Study Material. Besides this, if someone wants to do self studies or self preparation for the same then, they must be aware about the topics that are needed to cover on high priority. Apart from this, the main topic which is being covered by CSIR NET is General Aptitude, Life Science, Chemical Science, Mathematics Science, and Earth Science. There are total 200 marks in this exam and the duration of this entrance exam is of three years that is divided into three parts. In the part one, there are 20 questions in which candidates have to answer 15 questions. If there will be any wrong answer then it will attract a negative marking of 0.5 marks. In part B, there will 50 Questions in which 35 questions are required to answer 35 marks and in part C , there are 75 questions in which 25 questions must be answered by the candidates.
