A new study published in Nature Metabolism finally reveals the answer to how NMN enters the cell in order to become NAD+ and that it does not need to convert into NR to do so.

PURE NMN®  Change Your Life

Scientists have known about the vital role of NAD since 1906. Since then, they’ve learned NAD is found in every living cell, and that it powers the mitochondria, which keeps almost every tissue in the body healthy. In 2007, a landmark study by Dr. David Sinclair uncovered a unique form of vitamin B3 that could safely and efficiently raise NAD levels. We’re bringing PURE NMN ® to everyone.

Product description

✔NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) is the precursor for NAD+ and is able to promote cellular NAD+ production while also contacting age-associated pathologies linked to a decline in NAD+ levels which occur as we age.
✔It was recently discovered that NMN enters the cells through the Slc12a8 membrane protein which is specifically able to transport NMN but not nicotinamide riboside (according to studies performed on mice). As we age, NAD+ levels begin to decline. ✔NAD+ is required for proper cellular energy utilization and aging accelerates as levels decline. NAD+ is also vital for the body’s ability to repair DNA.
✔This also helps keep your metabolism from slowing down which assists with age related weight gain. Double Wood Supplement’s NMN supplement capsules are non-gmo, gluten free, and are made / tested right here in the USA.
✔One capsule of The Boston PURE NMN contains 250mg of PURE NMN, a patented and FDA Registered Facility form of vitamin B3 known as nicotinamide riboside (NR). Our inactive ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose and hypromellose. Microcrystalline cellulose is a plant-derived fiber and hypromellose is a common ingredient used to make vegetarian capsules.
✔The Boston PURE NMN is formulated without nuts or gluten. It contains no caffeine, no animal byproducts, and no artificial colors or flavors. What Should I Expect To Feel?

  • Updated

As with any supplement or new health routine, your experiences will vary depending on your age, diet, exercise, and sleep habits.
✔ The Boston PURE NMN will start increasing NAD levels shortly after you take it and will continue to maintain those elevated NAD levels with regular supplementation. It may take some time to feel the benefits of increased NAD (promoting cellular repair, increasing cellular energy, etc.), but ultimately The Boston PURE NMN is helping your cells remain

The Biochemistry of NMN

To understand how NMN benefits the body, it helps to first have some background knowledge of the biochemistry of this potent compound.Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a compound derived from ribose, a sugar, and nicotinamide, also known as vitamin B3. The human body has enzymes that use NMN to generate another compound, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide comes in two forms: An oxidized form (NAD+) which accepts electrons from other molecules and a reduced form (NADH) that donates electrons to other molecules.  From here on I will refer to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide as NAD+, but remember that it does come in these two forms.

NAD+ has two crucial, primary functions in the body:

  1. NAD+ participates in redox reactions. Redox reactions are those that involve a transfer of electrons from one reaction or molecule to another. The most well-known redox reaction in the body is cellular energy production, which includes glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, and mitochondrial respiration. NAD+ serves a vital role in each of these components of energy production.
  2. NAD+ is a substrate for enzymes that add or remove chemical groups from proteins. For example, NAD+ functions as a cofactor for sirtuins, proteins that regulate DNA transcription, apoptosis, inflammation, and mitochondrial biogenesis and assist in the function of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase, a group of proteins that regulate DNA repair and genomic stability.
