How to Renew Lubricating Oil of Perkins Engine

Drain the Perkins engine oil when it is warm as this will ensure that any waste particles are removed at the same time.


1. Remove the drain plug of Perkins engine
 

2. Attach a suitable length of hose to the drain and place a suitable container with a capacity of at least 21 litres at the other end.

3. Open the drain tap (item 2).

4. Close the drain tap when there is no more oil left in the sump.

Caution: Do not fill the sump past the maximum notch (mark) on the dipstick as this can have an adverse affect on the performance of the engine or damage the engine. Excess lubricating oil must be drained from the sump.

5. Clean the area around the filler cap on top of the rocker cover.
6. Remove the oil filler cap.
7. Fill the oil sump with the correct amount of new engine lubricating oil. Allow the oil enough time to pass to the sump. Remove the dipstick and ensure that the lubricating oil is to the full mark. Do not exceed the full mark on the dipstick. Ensure that the dipstick is fitted correctly in the dipstick tube.


8. Replace the oil filler cap.
9. Start the engine and operate in a no load condition for 2 minutes and check for leaks.
10. Recheck the oil level and top up if necessary.

Note: Renew the filter canister when the lubricating oil is renewed.

How to Initialize Window Control Module for Nissan TEANA:

When Nissan TEANA battery power off or replace battery,replace window glass or replace window motor,you will find the auto window roll up to the top and it will down again.Now you need to initialize the window control module.But you will find the regular method can not work:hold on the widow up button when window up to top about 5 seconds.


1.Dissable the door panel,then remove widow glasses and window regulator assembly

2.Remove motor from assemble

3.Turn ignition,press window control switch down button about two or three times,the motor will rotate 3 turn briefly

4.Now press driver side control switch panel to roll up window,the motor will rotate,wait it stop,then turn ignition off.

5.Initialization complete,now install all part back.



Note:

Need to remove motor from window regulator assembly

This method apply to any window for Nissan TEANA

When you need to Initialize Sunroof

1.Battery dead when sunroof working

2.When you replace sunroof motor

3.After you perform emergency handle

4.Sunroof can not work correctly


Nissan TEANA Electrical Sunroof Procedures:

1.Hold on sunroof switch(close or up) about 10 seconds

2.The glass cover will move in the upward tilt direction and then mechanically stop, then will automatically close completely. After that, the glass cover will be operated in the order of “tilt up” → “tilt down” → “slide open” → “slide off” (the switch must be kept pressed during operation).
3.After the glass cover is stopped for 5 s, release the switch.
4.If the sunroof switch can operate normally, the initialization is completed.

PATS is an acronym that stands for Passive Anti-Theft System (Ford also calls this SecuriLock). It is also called a transponder key. It is a security feature found on most (if not all) new Ford products, and what it does is disable your vehicle's starter unless your specially programmed key is used to start the vehicle. There is a computer chip inside of the key, and without that you will NOT be able to start the vehicle -- even if you have a regular (non-PATS) key with the correct cuts, it will not work.

ON-BOARD PROGRAMMING METHOD "B"

for Ford keys (1996 -early 1998 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury)

If you want to initiate a new master key....

1.Insert new key into ignition cylinder and turn it to the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will flash for fifteen minutes.

2.When the security light stops flashing, you have FIVE minutes to start the next step. Turn the ignition cylinder OFF and then back to the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will flash for fifteen more minutes.



3.When the security light stops flashing, you have FIVE minutes to start the next step. Turn the ignition cylinder to OFF and then back ON (RUN) position. The dash will flash for fifteen more minutes.

4.After the security light stops flashing the third time, the new key has been programmed into the vehicles computer and will operate the car. It has replaced ALL the previous electronic key codes and is the ONLY key programmed into the vehicles computer.



If you want to add a key....

1.Insert an existing key into the ignition cylinder.

2.Turn the ignition cylinder to ON (RUN) and back to OFF.

3.Remove the existing key and, within 15 seconds, insert the new key and turn it to ON (RUN).

4.The security light will light up for two seconds to indicate success in programming the key into the vehicle.

5.Don't attempt to start the vehicle with any key for at least 1 minute.



ON-BOARD PROGRAMMING METHOD "C"

for Ford keys (Later 1998-newer Ford, Lincoln, Mercury)

If you want to initiate a new master key....

1.In order to initiate a new master key, this will require the use of the Ford Module Programming Application. There are two ten minute delays involved while this device erases all existing key programming and sets up the vehicle computer to accept new key codes. Two new keys should be ready because the system requires a minimum of two keys in the program. After the first two keys are programmed, additional keys can be entered individually by following the instructions for adding duplicate keys (below).

If you want to add a key....

**You must have two original keys to perform this procedure.

1.Insert an existing (working) key into the ignition cylinder.

2.Turn the ignition cylinder ON (RUN) and back to OFF. Ignition should stay on for at least ONE SECOND.

3.Remove the existing key and, within TEN seconds, insert a second working key and turn it to ON (RUN) and the back OFF. Ignition must be in ON for at least ONE second, but no more than TEN seconds. Remove the key.

4Insert the new key before TWENTY seconds have elapsed and turn it to ON (RUN). Leave it the ON position for at least ONE second and turn back to OFF.

5.The security light will light up for THREE seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed.

6.To program additional keys, repeat steps 1 through 5

As a precautionary measure for all of the above procedures, you should wait at least one minute after you have performed this until you start your vehicle.

This function is used to initialize the parameter of actuator of servo motor, and to initialize the communication between ECU and actuator after replacing ECU or demounting battery.

The main procedures are introduced as below:



After clicking FUNCTION MENU, the screen will display the Process 1/3 Menu. It will prompt you that: If you want to change actuator, ECU and remove battery, please do this operation. Press ‘YES’ to do servo motor initialization. Press ‘NO’ to exit.



After confirming this operation, the screen will display Process 2/3 Menu: servo motor initialization. Note: please do this operation with ignition switch ON, A/C OFF and P gear. After satisfying these conditions, press OK to enter Process 3/3 Menu: [servo motor initialization] begin. After DEF blinking indicator turn OFF, press OK, then this operation is finished.

DICE Full Test by Mean of DICE Test Unit:
1.Find the DiCE Test Unit
2.Power up the DiCE by connecting 12 V DC, part number 9513004, to the DiCE Test Unit. NOTE! The power LED should now be lit.



3.Connect the DiCE to the DiCE Test Unit. NOTE! The vehicle interface status LED is now lit (firm red light).

4.Start VIDA All-in-one. Select the START tab.

5.Click on PERFORM COMPUTER SETTINGS and then the COMMUNICATION TOOL tab.

6.Click on the dots beside the DiCE option in the drop-down list for the COMMUNICATION TOOL.

7.In the DiCE unit drop-down list, select the appropriate DiCE and click the Test communication tool.



8.Click on RUN

9.Set the DiCE Test Unit Switch to position 1. Click on OK.
 

10.Set the DiCE Unit Switch to position 2. Click on OK. Click on CLOSE.


11.CONGRATULATIONS! You have successfully managed to perform a DiCE Full Test by means of DiCE Test Unit.

12.If this will not work, the following will be shown:

 



Please check thouroughly the switch positions and try again. If it still does not work, the DiCE Unit is out of order and has to be replaced.

Repeat this section for both DiCE connected via USB and Bluetooth.

How to Repair Air Suspension Trouble C1131/C1A20 Trouble for Land Rover Discovery 4

A Land Rover Discovery 4 made 2012 3.0T with 100 thousands kilometers,the owner drived his Land Rover Discovery 4 to our garage due to the air suspension trouble.Here I share the progress of repairing Land Rover Discovery 4 C1131/C1A20 Air Suspension Trouble.And for Land Rover parts,you can check here:Land Rover EPC Spare Catalogue



Trouble Diagnose:
Our technicians after testing,found that the engine can be started correctly.Operated the swith on the interface of terrain response system ,the air suspension pump work normally at beginning.But after awhile,air suspension warning light on in the instrument cluster,and terranin response system was disabled.Restart the engine,found the symptom as above.Air suspension pump worked normally at beginning,but after awhile it was disabled.


Technicians connected JLR SDD to the vehicle,read out below trouble codes:

C1131-92:Air Spring Air Supply Unable to pressurize gallery

C1A20-64:Pressure increases too slow when filling reservoir
Newest JLR SDD V154 Software Free Download



Use the diagnostic tool to detect the pressure of air suspension found that the air pump stoped working when pressure inscread from 300 kPa to 800 kPa.According to the above inspection results to determine the reason of the failure may be:

1. Air supply line failure
2. Air pump failure


In accordance with the principle of simple to complex diagnostic criteria for the suspicious of the above failure:
1. Lift the vehicle,check the pipeline of the air suspension.No leakage failure and the pipelin was not pressed or folded.

2. Check the pump dry bottle and exhaust valve,they are normal.

3. Immersed the gas tank into the water for check leaking,no leakage phenomenon.

4. And repalced the air pump,but the failure still existed.



Only the air intake pipeline of the air pump had not been checked.

1. Remove the intake pipeline of air pump

2. Start the engine and turn on air suspension,found the air suspension can rise slowly.

3. Detect the pressure of air suspension with JLR SDD,the presure can reach about 1400 kPa.

4. Repeated test the air suspension of vehcile again and again,the air suspension can work normally.

We can make conclusion:air intake pipeline trouble result in air suspension system failure.

Troubleshooting:
When check the intake pipeline fo the air pump,found the air filter was blocked.And after cleanning the air filter,the air suspension system work normally.
Summary:

The fault is caused by air filter inlet blockage of the air pump.It should be noted that the air filter of air suspension system air pump is a consumables,it should be cleaned or replaced termly.

This following information describes in detail the process for read & flash for Volkswagen Golf 4 ME7.5 1.8 Turbo with the MPPS ECU programmer.

How to Install MPPS V21 V18 V16 on Window XP,Window 7

 

 

MPPS Reading & Flashing Volkswagen Golf 4 ME7.5 1.8 Turbo:

Connect MPPS interface to Volkswagen Golf 4 obd port

Then run MPPS software,select vehicle brand “Volkswagen”

 

 

Select vehicle model from below list

 

 

 

And then select ECU type from the list

 

 

PAY Close attention to the ECU type. If the ECU type is not found you can likely find it under another model. For example selecting Audi -> A4 -> 1.8 Turbo Bosch ME7,5 selection could also be used to read this ECU as the hardware is the same.

 

ECU Identification

 

 

Press “Ecu ID” to id the ecu. MPPS will be its best to perform a proper ECU ID. In some cases due to variations in data structure the exact versions are not shown even on a readable ecu..

Next Press the “Read” Button. MPPS will now attempt to read out the ecu data.

 

 

Upon successfully reading the ECU. MPPS will prompt you for the location to save the file name.

 

 

Continue to follow the instructions and switch off the key.

 

Turn on the key and press continue.

 

MPPS will perform any post reading requirements if needed by that ECU model.

This article show you guide on how to use XPROG-M programmer to read BMW E39 EWS3 Motorola 0D46J chip.

Preparation:

XPROG Programmer Interface





The EWS 3 Immobilizer unit , in the BMW E39 car body, is above the pedals, on the left.


remove it.


take the board out of the case.


The immobilizer is assembled on a Motorola microcontroller with a mask of 0D46J . Read it will be the Xprog-M programmer .


Open the program, go to Device s – Immobilizers – BMW – EWS3 .


looking at the connection diagram.


According to the scheme, connect the programmer Xprog-M to the immobilizer block EWS 3 .


Click the Read button …


… And the firmware Motorola 0D46J is read.
