Procedures:

Build connection between G-Scan 2 and Jaguar XL by OBD port,then enter menu to select [DIAGNOSIS],then select vehicle model [JAGUAR],model [XF],year [2010-2011]-->[PCM]-->[Diesel]

Then select [Special Function]

 


 

Select [Diesel Particulate Filter Dynamic Regeneration]

 

The function carries out a forced diesel particulate filter dynamic regeneration.

 

This will only occur if the soot mass present in the filter is below a set upper limit.

 

The function will determine the soot mass and if it is above the upper limit this function will terminate and you will be instructed to replace the particulate filter.

 

If it below the upper limit the forced regeneration will be performed.

 

Be advised that this is a two man operation ad G-scan must remain connected to the vehicle whilst the regeneration is carried out.

 

 

Set the ignition switch to ON position (position 2)

 

 

To enable the forced dynamin regeneration to function the vehicle must be driven above 40 KPH (2 MPH).The process should take approximately 15 minutes.

 

The engine operating temperature must be above 60 degrees.

 

The vehicle must be kept above the required speed for the duration of the procedure.If the speed drops below the required level for 5 minutes or more,the soot mass will stop decreasing and the function must then be re-started.

 

The vehicle must be driven to the required speed and OKk button must be pressed when this is achieved.

 

Be advised that this is a two man operation and G-Scan must remain connected to the vehicle whilst the regeneration is carried out.

 

 

To enable the forced dynamin regeneration to function the vehicle must be driven above 40 KPH(25 MPH).The process should take approximately 15 minutes.

 

The vehicle must be driven to the required speed and the OK button must be pressed when this is achieved.

 

Press OK to continue when ready to start the function.

 

 

This procedures will continually read the engine temperature until correct operation condition are met 61℃ or 141.8 ℉.

 

 

 

When the engine temperature up to 61℃,it will show you with below massage:

 

Active diesel service function

 

This function will force the engine management system to perform a diesel pariculate filter regeneration.Press [OK] to continue

 

 

Active diesel service function

 

 

Now active diesel service function is ready

 

 

After 30 minutes driven,press OK to continue

 

This procedure will read the particulate filter soot mass value

 

This procedure will continually read the particulate filter soot mass value

 

You now you can the the Soot Mass Value 2.7 g/l

 

 

Press [OK]

 

 

The soot mass in the particulate filter is now at the acceptable lower limit.

 

Stop the vehicle safely at the next available opportunity,place in PARK and turn off the ignition .

Brake Cams and Slack Adjusters For further information concerning component specifications see service information in Group 1, “Oil and Filter Change Intervals for Volvo Components,” publication number 175-001, and appropriate vendor literature. For further information concerning brake cams see service information in Group 5, “Q Plus LX500 and MX500 Cam Brakes Literature,” publication number 514–003, and appropriate vendor literature. Lubricate the brake cam bushings using a lithium-based grease with EP additives and consistency NLGI No. 2. Fill grease until old grease has been pushed out past the seal and new grease can be seen flowing. Lubricate the slack adjusters using a lithium-based grease with EP additives and consistency NLGI No. 2. Fill grease until old grease has been pushed out past the splined shaft area, and adjustment pawl and new grease can be seen flowing.
Volvo trouble repair

Air Dryers
Air dryers have internal maintenance systems that clean out the accumulated moisture frequently and can therefore work with long maintenance intervals. Eventually the drying medium will be filled up and the cartridge will need to be changed. Change cartridge when there is more water being drained in the daily emptying of the tank than usual. This is a progressive development and the time interval will be different from application to application. Dryer manufacturers recommend changing cartridge every 2 to 3 years but intervals need to be adjusted for application. The only dryer with regular maintenance is the Midland, where the coalescent filter needs changing every year. Note: If a vehicle is operated in a severe weather environment, It is recommended to change the air dryer cartridge prior to the severe weather season.

Steering System
For further information concerning component specifications see service information in Group 1, “Oil and Filter Change Intervals for Volvo Components,” publication number 175-001, and appropriate vendor literature. For axle forward models, grease the steering shaft Ujoints every 4 months. A more frequent maintenance interval may be required if the vehicle is operated under severe driving conditions.

How to Reset Powertrain Control Module for Jeep Cherokee ?

When a Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is replaced on vehicles equipped with the Sentry Key™ Theft Deterrent System, it must be initialized to properly function with the anti-theft module. This is accomplished at a Chrysler Group Dealer by using the DRBIII® or StarSCAN™ Scan ToJol to enter a PIN number.

When the PIN number is not available from the vehicle owner or a Chrysler Group Scan Tool(s) is not available this can be accomplished by writing the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) into the PCM using an after-market scan tool with a "VIN Write Function".

More information is available from the scan tool manufacturer or the Equipment & Tool Institute.

NOTE: After performing this procedure with an after-market scan tool on vehicles equipped with Chrysler Group's Next Generation Controller (NGC),Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) “P0633 - SKIM SECRET KEY DATA NOT STORED IN PCM” will be set. This DTC will not effect vehicle or system performance and cannot be erased.
SEBRING COUPE/STRATUS COUPE (ST)
Initializing the PCM on these vehicles requires the use of a DaimlerChrysler scan tool (DRBIII®), J1962 MMC Cable, and ST22 PCMCIA Diagnostic Card.

Initializing the PCM on these vehicles requires the use of a DaimlerChrysler scan tool (DRBIII®), Multiplexer cable box, and the CH9043 Crossfire or CH9087 Sprinter PCMCIA card. This equipment is available for lease from DaimlerChrysler for short periods of time.

PCM INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE CROSSFIRE/SPRINTER:

1.Before replacing the PCM, with the ignition switch in the “RUN” position, determine the part number of the PCM software . Connect the CH9043 MUX Cable, and the DRBIII®(with the CH9044 Crossfire Software card or CH 9087 Sprinter Software card plugged into it); to the vehicle. Using the DRBIII® select:

a."DRBIII® Standalone"

b."1998 - 2005 Diagnostics"

c.Make the appropriate selection: “2004 - 2005 Crossfire” or “2003 - 2004 Sprinter”

d.“System Select”

e.“Engine”

f.Record the ten (10) character “P/N” on the repair order for later reference.

2.Open TechAUTHORITY. TechAUTHORITY is available on the internet,www.techauthority.com

3.At the “Home” page, open the “Powertrain Control Module Initialization” link.

4.Open the “Coding String Calculator for Sprinter & Crossfire Vehicles” link.

5.Open the “Select Module” pull down menu and select “PCM”.

6.Select the appropriate “Transmission Type” button (Manual or Automatic).

7.Carefully enter the 17 character VIN.

8.Carefully enter the PCM software p/n recorded on the repair order in Step 1.

9.Select the “Calculate” button at the bottom of the window.

NOTE: TechAUTHORITY will automatically populate the “Coding String”, “SCN”, and “CheckSum” information.

10.Print the information from the technician's PC.

11.Using the DRBIII® select:

How to Renew Lubricating Oil of Perkins Engine

Drain the Perkins engine oil when it is warm as this will ensure that any waste particles are removed at the same time.


1. Remove the drain plug of Perkins engine
 

2. Attach a suitable length of hose to the drain and place a suitable container with a capacity of at least 21 litres at the other end.

3. Open the drain tap (item 2).

4. Close the drain tap when there is no more oil left in the sump.

Caution: Do not fill the sump past the maximum notch (mark) on the dipstick as this can have an adverse affect on the performance of the engine or damage the engine. Excess lubricating oil must be drained from the sump.

5. Clean the area around the filler cap on top of the rocker cover.
6. Remove the oil filler cap.
7. Fill the oil sump with the correct amount of new engine lubricating oil. Allow the oil enough time to pass to the sump. Remove the dipstick and ensure that the lubricating oil is to the full mark. Do not exceed the full mark on the dipstick. Ensure that the dipstick is fitted correctly in the dipstick tube.


8. Replace the oil filler cap.
9. Start the engine and operate in a no load condition for 2 minutes and check for leaks.
10. Recheck the oil level and top up if necessary.

Note: Renew the filter canister when the lubricating oil is renewed.

How to Initialize Window Control Module for Nissan TEANA:

When Nissan TEANA battery power off or replace battery,replace window glass or replace window motor,you will find the auto window roll up to the top and it will down again.Now you need to initialize the window control module.But you will find the regular method can not work:hold on the widow up button when window up to top about 5 seconds.


1.Dissable the door panel,then remove widow glasses and window regulator assembly

2.Remove motor from assemble

3.Turn ignition,press window control switch down button about two or three times,the motor will rotate 3 turn briefly

4.Now press driver side control switch panel to roll up window,the motor will rotate,wait it stop,then turn ignition off.

5.Initialization complete,now install all part back.

Nissan TEANA Electrical Sunroof Procedures:

1.Hold on sunroof switch(close or up) about 10 seconds

2.The glass cover will move in the upward tilt direction and then mechanically stop, then will automatically close completely. After that, the glass cover will be operated in the order of “tilt up” → “tilt down” → “slide open” → “slide off” (the switch must be kept pressed during operation).
3.After the glass cover is stopped for 5 s, release the switch.
4.If the sunroof switch can operate normally, the initialization is completed.

PATS is an acronym that stands for Passive Anti-Theft System (Ford also calls this SecuriLock). It is also called a transponder key. It is a security feature found on most (if not all) new Ford products, and what it does is disable your vehicle's starter unless your specially programmed key is used to start the vehicle. There is a computer chip inside of the key, and without that you will NOT be able to start the vehicle -- even if you have a regular (non-PATS) key with the correct cuts, it will not work.

If you want to initiate a new master key....

1.Insert new key into ignition cylinder and turn it to the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will flash for fifteen minutes.

2.When the security light stops flashing, you have FIVE minutes to start the next step. Turn the ignition cylinder OFF and then back to the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will flash for fifteen more minutes.

4.After the security light stops flashing the third time, the new key has been programmed into the vehicles computer and will operate the car. It has replaced ALL the previous electronic key codes and is the ONLY key programmed into the vehicles computer.



If you want to add a key....

1.Insert an existing key into the ignition cylinder.

2.Turn the ignition cylinder to ON (RUN) and back to OFF.

3.Remove the existing key and, within 15 seconds, insert the new key and turn it to ON (RUN).

4.The security light will light up for two seconds to indicate success in programming the key into the vehicle.

5.Don't attempt to start the vehicle with any key for at least 1 minute.



ON-BOARD PROGRAMMING METHOD "C"

for Ford keys (Later 1998-newer Ford, Lincoln, Mercury)

If you want to initiate a new master key....

1.In order to initiate a new master key, this will require the use of the Ford Module Programming Application. There are two ten minute delays involved while this device erases all existing key programming and sets up the vehicle computer to accept new key codes. Two new keys should be ready because the system requires a minimum of two keys in the program. After the first two keys are programmed, additional keys can be entered individually by following the instructions for adding duplicate keys (below).

If you want to add a key....

**You must have two original keys to perform this procedure.

1.Insert an existing (working) key into the ignition cylinder.

2.Turn the ignition cylinder ON (RUN) and back to OFF. Ignition should stay on for at least ONE SECOND.

3.Remove the existing key and, within TEN seconds, insert a second working key and turn it to ON (RUN) and the back OFF. Ignition must be in ON for at least ONE second, but no more than TEN seconds. Remove the key.

4Insert the new key before TWENTY seconds have elapsed and turn it to ON (RUN). Leave it the ON position for at least ONE second and turn back to OFF.

5.The security light will light up for THREE seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed.

6.To program additional keys, repeat steps 1 through 5

As a precautionary measure for all of the above procedures, you should wait at least one minute after you have performed this until you start your vehicle.

Servo motor initialization is available under work support menu of AC of X431 TOP software.TOYOTA-16 connector or CAN BUS connector is used for non-CAN system. CAN BUSII connector is used for CAN BUS system.

This function is used to initialize the parameter of actuator of servo motor, and to initialize the communication between ECU and actuator after replacing ECU or demounting battery.

The main procedures are introduced as below:



After clicking FUNCTION MENU, the screen will display the Process 1/3 Menu. It will prompt you that: If you want to change actuator, ECU and remove battery, please do this operation. Press ‘YES’ to do servo motor initialization. Press ‘NO’ to exit.



After confirming this operation, the screen will display Process 2/3 Menu: servo motor initialization. Note: please do this operation with ignition switch ON, A/C OFF and P gear. After satisfying these conditions, press OK to enter Process 3/3 Menu: [servo motor initialization] begin. After DEF blinking indicator turn OFF, press OK, then this operation is finished.
