I tried to install vxdiag volvo vida 2014d software on both Windows 7 32bit and 64bit operating system, both failed me and gave same error ”
One or more of the components you choose did not install.
The information shown below can be found in the log file, located in the C:/VIDA/System/Log/directory
Security ok
Possible reason:
Disk C does not have enough space for vida installation.
Release disk C space or get a new laptop to install VIDA.

Does VXDIAG VCX NANO Ford Compatible with FJDS?

As titled, is the vxdiag vcx nano ford compatible with FJDS 116?


*Ford IDS vs. FJDS

IDS (Integrated Diagnostic System): Diagnostic coverage includes most 1996 – 2020 MY (produced 1995 – 2020) Ford and Lincoln/Mercury vehicles.

FJDS (Ford J2534 Diagnostic Software): Provides the same functionality and vehicle coverage as IDS for the model years below with J2534 Devices.

The following vehicles are supported by FDRS

  2019+   Ranger
  2020+   Transit
  2019+   Transit Connect
  2020+   Explorer/Aviator

VXDIAG engineers didn’t test it yet. But some users have managed to use it without issue.

Customer feedback:

1. Yes, it works. Uninstalled everything, install the drivers from allscanner, then installed FJDS 116 and updated.
Payed for the two days and it works.


2. just did one 2 days ago and another today, yes after you’re done with programming with FJDS and PATS keys, you have the perform the CEI lock configuration.


3. My programmer arrived last evening (VXDIAG VCX Nano for IDS Ford/Mazda).   It has the drivers that are needed to make it work and you can test that the device is working properly before getting the required FJDS license from Motorcraft. You’ll want to do this because the most cost effective license (at $50) is only good for two days. Make sure you also have the FJDS software from Ford up and running before you acquire a license key. When programming, you just enter the PCM part number and FJDS pretty much picks up everything else including getting the correct VIN transferred into the used manual PCM.





Q: Will it work with ford edge 2019? need to instal and program a new awd module?

A: If you are using FJDS it will work .


Q:If i use this with a fjds license, can i program ford modules on the ms can bus? like the driver and passenger door modules?

A: No.

I got VXDIAG VCX SE for BMW from you. But didn’t buy the software HDD. Can i use my own ISTA-P ISTA-D, INPA etc with your device?
Yes. You can use your ISTA INPA etc software with VXDIAG VCX SE or Multi Tool for BMW.
But requires to install VX Manager driver and BMW ICOM Driver

GM Volt HPCM 2 SPS Programming using VXDIAG VCX NANO

Chevy Volt “P1FFF – System Isolation / Coolant Level Sensor Fault” is a common fault that can caused by various things. For example: Had a small leak in battery coolant radiator and the coolant levels dropped below the threshold acceptable by the sensor in the reservoir tank. This caused the Service High Voltage Charging System(SHVCS) warning to appear on the instrument cluster and unable to charge your car.
I wasted a lot of time trying to clear this Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) through the Global Diagnostic System 2 (GDS2) application and attempts to get rid of it by using the Clear Secured High Voltage DTCs option did not work either.
Final solution:
In the end, the only way to dump this code is to re-program the ‘Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2’ at the dealer or using ACDelco’s TIS2Web internet-subscription service that gives you access to Service Programming System (SPS) in addition to other tools like GDS2. If some of these terms throw you for a loop, just know the dealership uses handheld devices and hardware dedicated for this job and we will be using software implementations of them using an OBD device called the VXDIAG VCX Nano and your laptop/PC.
1. Make sure you have the GDS2 compatible VCX Nano OBD connector.
2. Ensure you’ve already fixed your radiator leak and/or faulty sensor and your battery coolant system has been bleed and refilled if necessary
3. Plug in VCX Nano to your computer and make sure you have run the VX Manager and installed the J2534 Passthru driver which will be needed for SPS.

You will need a subscription at ACDelco’s website. Currently there is a $40 subscription to the “Vehicle Programming Software” which includes a 24 month access to program all modules for a single VIN.
Once you’ve created an account at the ACDelco website and purchased a license, you can click “View” to the right under Actions and click on your VIN or ‘Add VIN’ if this is your first time. This will open up the TIS2Web website, click through the prompts until you get to the screen like this:


If your Java settings are configured correctly, you’ll get an option to Run the Java application:
Which will lead to an installation process for some TIS2Web software:


Once the first wizard is done installing, you’ll get a prompt to install some more. I just accepted the defaults:


You’ll be prompted for Administrative rights multiple times and eventually it will say installed successfully. Go ahead and click okay and finally this will bring up the SPS software:
You’ll notice the J2534 VXDIAG option, select this and Replace and Program ECU and click next:
Now it will begin to use the OBD connection so put your vehicle into Service Mode by holding the start button for 10 seconds until the car turns on and click next:
If everything is working, you will need to select make, model and year of your vehicle and it will ask you to confirm the VIN:
Now we can pick the K114B Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2, then click Programming/Normal:
Since my car didn't have the coolant security lock on the coolant cap, I chose without RESS coolant tank update:
Then I chose Operating System:
It will list a summary of what was being updated. Some of this may not have been necessary, I cared primarily about the OS programming:
Now it will download the update and program the module. Do not disconnect any cables or turn off your computer:
Once complete, it will inform you to clear the DTCs and turn of the ignition for 30 seconds:
After this I plugged the car in and voila!

Pontiac Solstice GMPP tune with VXDIAG VCX NANO GM GDS2

VXDIAG VCX NANO for GM GDS2 new test report on Pontiac Solstice:
I had concerns about what changes were done to the ECM programming before I got it and wanted to reprogram it to ensure it was running the stock GMPP tune. I info I got from the previous owner was not always consistent, so I reprogrammed it this morning using the GM VXDIAG VCX Nano. For programming, the setup was very easy and worked flawlessly. GM offers the software subscription now for $40 for two years per VIN. Dealer wanted 110 so if you own one of these or any other compatible pass-thru device you can do it yourself cheaper.
I have also been using it to run Tech2Win on a windows tablet and laptop for diagnostic info. This was one of the main reason I got it, and the info I get from this is much better than the cheap scan tool I have. Getting Tech2Win to run properly can be hit or miss depending on your computer or OS it seems. Runs fine on some and not at all on others. I have been running it on a small windows tablet that is underpowered and sometimes crashes so not the best choice but works well enough.
It does have its own drivers that install basically just USB to Serial drivers. They include the drivers for the Tech2Win communication and another one for the pass-thru function. You can use the Tech2Win version included, or it can be purchased from GM as well. The module programming software subscription can be purchased from the ACDelco TDS site.
I ordered mine from vxdiagshop.com because I am impatient, but you can get them about $30 cheaper if you don’t mind no response from seller. All in all I would say I am pretty happy with it.
It is per VIN now for a 2-year term where I saw it used to be unlimited for three days. I don’t expect to need it again anytime soon for my car but nice to know I can replace a module or ECM as needed on my own. If anyone gets one and needs any help I will do my best.
I was on the fence about getting it because the information on it was kind of all over but I am happy I did. Now if I could just get a few sunny days to get out and get this car fixed would be nice.

How to Solve VXDIAG ODIS Cannot Read VIN for Old Cars

I have a big problem, my Vxdiag vcx nano 5054 with odis software works only on newer cars but cannot read ignition or VIN on old cars. What can i do?

Update the VW ODIS driver to latest version, shown picture below:
I think I’ve fixed it by installing previous version of softing driver. It reads the VIN and can connect to the car.
